Dr. Randolph Bracy, Jr. — Social Activist

Upon assuming the presidency of the Orange County Branch of the NAACP, Social Activist, Dr. Randolph Bracy, Jr. along with other local African American ministers took the City of Orlando and the Orlando Magic to task for capital construction in the predominantly African American community of Parramore where residents of that community were promised a fair share of the economic development pie through a document called the Blueprint that was ratified by Orlando City Council in conjunction with the Orlando Magic.

When it was discovered that there was “lip service” to the promises, Bracy called for a Direct Action against the City of Orlando and Magic at City Hall by the African American preachers and the Orange County Branch NAACP.

The video below was taken at the first Republican Party National Debate in 2011 which took place in Orlando, Florida. Bracy is seen speaking before the debate at the lack of compassion by any of the candidates relative to health care for the poor.
